I'm a social science researcher and freelance consultant for international development cooperation.

My background is in economics, ethics and social anthropology. I'm particularly interested in the interface of development research and practice. This was also a focus of my work at German development bank KfW.

Past research has been on environmental ethics and sustainability; culture, knowledge and development, and in anthropology of development. My current focus is on organisations, in particular in sub-saharan Africa.

As a consultant, I've also put some emphasis on organisational and institutional analysis. Here are the topics I've work on so far or that I'm particulary interested in.

Teaching and training is mainly in soft skills and in topics such as poverty, development and its critics, culture and development.
